I am definitely a novice author. I finished my college concentration in writing. My major is biotechnology. 

I want to write science fiction that is based on science fact. Of course the problem with that is that a lot of what people have discovered in the lab is more bizarre than anything that anybody could make up.

Stephen King says that a first time author has a novel that is terrible, even though they think it is a masterpiece... I don't want that to be me. I want to put this thing through the crucible until it reaches its full potential, and is not just "good".
