So an important part of my ch lore is that East Germany (now Weimar triangle) started out as a human german jew named Jakob Weiss, whose family fled to France before ww2 officially started. His parents were killed in 1942 during a purge of French jews in 1942 and a bullet grazed his eye, blinding it. France (at the time German Occupied France) happened to be around and finally snapped, yoinked the kid, and fucked off to the forest to be a Maquisard

At least he gets to keep his base appearance and depression (though it’s from a whole new source). He’s the ECSC (later EU) if that wasn’t clear enough.

To expand in the Came Back Right thing;
All his prison tattoos, gone. All his scars, gone. The various enhancements he developed to survive over the years (claws, sharp teeth, heightened senses and healing), gone. Disabilities both mental and physical, gone. He has all the memories and knows the associated emotions, but he doesn’t feel them anymore. Not sure if he still loves Britain, Jakob, etc. He doesn’t have all his survival instincts and strength anymore. He’s no longer an anti-authoritarian revolutionary/ contrarian. Every cornerstone of his identity is just. Gone.

Countryhumans slasher au, but it’s just FrUK as the only survivors of a slasher story and they keep getting harassed by that same slasher. It very quickly goes from psychological thriller to a dark romcom with a looney-tunesy twist. By the time they’re going to college, the whole town is like yeah, this is John Slasher, he tries to kill these two specific teenagers every week and they keep beating his ass because they’ve fought him so often the only thing making them not slasher villains is their sense of morality.

France introduces Britain to America as his s/o and America thinks they’re mostly normal if a little eccentric (read: neurodivergent) until they throw a rusty metal sheet at John Slasher’s face like a throwing knife and yell at him to fuck off. Being a slasher, he walks it off, which leaves America even more baffled and scared

But on the other hand, they’re already fox coded and it makes their design language less cluttered
