I, uh, low-key kinda hate Part Four, lol.

I think it stings even more for me because I remember genuinely believing that it was really good; I started to (kind of) set up the plotlines that would continue through the rest of "Yeah, We Know," and I felt like I did good at setting up the sort of anticipation in the readers that I had for how the plots would progress and resolve.

It's odd to describe exactly what I find wrong with it now, and I'll try to find better words if someone asks me why, but I just feel this sense of embarrassment as I'm rereading it now - more embarrassment than any of my other original parts, and up until then, Part Two was the worst for me, lol.

Anyways, I might retract the statement I made when I remastered TSWP's prologue, because after remastering Part Two, I'm starting to realize that I actually do have a different direction and outcome compared to where I thought I wanted to go four years ago (which wasn't going anywhere to begin with, or just had a much more vague idea than now). Then again, I also still don't know if most like the original line or the remastered line better, so I'm unsure if starting a new book with just the new content in it is a good move, unpublishing the originals to reduce clutter/confusion, or continuing to do what I'm doing now is the better move to make.

Hello, it's been a little bit (again, consistency? What's that?). Progress is still being made on part two, but I don't know when exactly it will be out.

Question, because clearly I haven't asked enough of those, lmao: do you guys want an entire chunk of the story dedicated to introducing all of the states like other fanfictions do? I don't think it's totally necessary, personally, especially since I post state profiles anyways, but maybe you'd want to see it parodied?

GalaxyGirlStar24

Hello! Rewritten part one is finished and part two and three's rewrites are still in the works. As you can probably tell, I will not be consistent in updates (but then again, when have I ever been consistent in anything?), so I hope y'all would be willing to be patient with me. :)

Are there any readers still left from when they were hooked in 2020-2022? I'm just asking out of curiosity, to be honest.

Also, the states book is at six-thousand reads?! It was at, like, three-thousand when I was inactive last - how did that happen, lol? It's not even that good.

Speaking of stats, I've also realized that New York's character profile is much more popular than any other state profile. I don't know whether that's just because it's the first one or there's something particularly good or bad about him.

Hello! The rewritten prologue and half of part one is done, though I'd at least want to finish the rest of part one before publishing the prologue. As a small little spoiler/fun fact, I kinda made the new prologue about four times as pong as the original... So that should be fun, lol.

Here's a quick question that I've probably asked at some point ages ago:

Would it make sense to personify US cities in Hetalia's context? I mean, like, DC seems to be acceptable, though that's kind of different-ish...?

I just realized I wrote "pong" instead of "long," and now I feel very ashamed. : D

          G r e e t i n g s . This might be a long one...

I apologize for my recent period of not publishing anything. Here are all the relevant things that have happened since my latest (and longest) period of inactivity:

          - I learned better grammar and expanded my vocabulary somewhat.
          - I now narrate in present-tense rather than past-tense (ex. "He says," instead of, "he said").
          - I joined my school's marching band/indoor drumline for the first and last time last year and fell in love with them and front ensemble as a whole (glockenspiel/vibraphone gang, where y'all at?).
          - I turned eighteen on May 19th.
          - I graduated from high school on the 30th of the same month.

Since then, I've been accepted to a few colleges, one of them being my top school out in California, and my mind has continued to reel over how to afford the rest of the $60,000 USD I need to even go there for one year. My plans right now are to postpone admittance and take a year to work (and maybe take a few community college classes online on the side) and save up money.

Anyways, why is all of this relevant? I want to finally start writing here again. Here are the things I want to do from the few years of built-up inspiration:

            - Remaster the original "The States Were Personified?" to better fit my current writing style, as well as make more/stronger comments on tropes and clichés that I feel like I missed the opportunity to joke about.
            - Draw and write the remaining twenty-five-ish state profiles. I also kind of want to redesign my home state, Virginia. This, nor the last point, should affect the plot progression or character arcs of TSWP - it's more like a polishing, so to say.
            - Parody both the "countries read the diaries" and "nobody likes America :(" genres of Wattpad Hetalia fanfictions.
            - Write an original Hetalia story of a regular-old human who will do anything to become a country just like the other personifications. Literally anything.

There will absolutely be things in my life that might make things slow, and I can't guarantee any specific dates (especially with how carefully I go about researching for the States fanfiction). However, I'm completely open to comments, thoughts, and angry rant letters about how awful of an author I am and how horrible I am for not publishing anything since, like, 2022. I am coming back, though. That's pretty much the main idea of this message. :)
