Hello! You’re new to Wattpad, so here’s a few tips.
1. Be nice.
2. Have fun.
3. Don’t give away any personal info to strangers.
4. Don’t comment “Please update” or join long comment strings—the second will give you spam notifications.
5. Notifying you when the author you are following updates a story doesn’t work.
6. When writing a fanfiction, you have to put that the original story does not belong to you. If you aren’t writing a fanfiction but an original story of your own, you don’t have to do that.
7. Do not, I repeat, do NOT copy someone else’s work.
8. Do not claim a picture as your own if it isn’t.
9. Don’t refer to people you know by their real name, just their username.
10. Stories you publish, reading lists, the about you thing you can put in, people you follow, and people who follow you are public. People with premium, which is most, can see what stories you vote and comment on.
