What were your original plans for Katarina’s origins before Mysterium was revealed?

@Eystreemj The original plans were to have Katarina appear in the pilot episodes and have her stick around for the entirety of the show. She would have been a lot like Zane, personality-wise. I wanted her to watch over the Ninja as a guardian angel, and makes sure no one on the team got hurt when Lloyd came around. The only person who knows about this is Wu, because they were old friends at the time. I don't think she would have directly joined the team, probably revealing herself in Reboot and slowly growing fond of the Ninja, and getting used to having her father Garmadon back. 
            
            It was around the time of the Ninjago: Dragons Rising when I was still knee-deep in Ninjago Seabound when I heard of Mysterium, when it was pretty much established that Katarina has magic. I thought to myself "Well, they had to have come somewhere. She must've come from someplace else. What if she did?" That was when I decided she would be from Mysterium, and I reasoned with myself that the reason no one was there when Mysterium got revealed to us in DR Season 2:Part 2 is that the Morningstars either killed them off or the survivors went elsewhere.

          Chapter 1: Hospitalized (JULY)
          Benthomaar is busy healing in the Monastery, and the whole team is visiting him - Everyone except the Finders Kids, who wonder why they aren't allowed to see him. 
          
          Chapter 2: For Better or Worse (JULY)
          Nadakhan and the crew get worried about Katarina and her current feelings and attitude, so they set out to help her get better - Only to find their efforts are making things worse. 
          
          Chapter 3: In Sync (JULY)
          Keres struggles to achieve Rising Dragon Technique after the whole team takes a brutal hit from the Blood Moon ritual. Realizing how Kai achieved his Rising Fire Dragon, she decides to get help from Katarina.
