I am so not good at these things... I am an artist, both in written word and visual works. I don't like posting chapters, unless the whole book is done because it takes me so long to finish the book I'm working on.  I run into the issue of having too many ideas flying around in my head and not enough time to get them down on paper (or in this case, screen). I try to make my characters reflect a personality that I admire, without them going overboard. Most of my leading characters are strong, independent women who kick butt. Or at least they do in my mind. I mainly live in the world of fantasy when it comes to my writing, I enjoy making my own rules and creating a world where anything is possible, however I do have a down to earth sense of the fictional world I put my characters in. I couldn't do what I do without spell check and I tend to re-read and re-re-read everything I write before I think it might be just okay. That whole thing about "You are your own worst critic" is an understatement in my world. Most of the ideas I get for my books stem from a single scene that pops into my head and stays there for weeks until I finally set a plot around it, and that is the biggest reason it takes me so long to complete a book (most of the time it's not a full story yet).
