If you enjoy my Harry/Hermione fanfics - particularly those with metamorphmagus!Harry - you may also like my new short story---The Institute---(which will only be a few chapters long when finished, but left open-ended for probable sequels)). 
          	
          	It's an original fiction, but the premise when I first conceived of it was, "What if Harry Potter was a bit more 'realistic,' and a bit more like the X-men or Stephen King's Firestarter?"  
          	
          	You'll see what I mean if you give it a shot. And you may recognise a couple of characters...  ;-)   ...Anyway, I'm sure that the characters most similar to Harry and Hermione will become apparent to you.

Hello Gandalf's Beard. I was wondering if you are going to continue "His first Real Friend" I actually enjoyed reading it and I can't wait to read the rest of the story. Hope you continue it. ✨

@fun_for_all ... Thank you! I am definitely planning to continue the story at some point, but... 
            1) I don't know when I will be writing again
            2) I'm pantsing this fic. I usually have a basic plot outline and I know where those stories are going. I have no idea where His First Real Friend is going yet.

I have finally finished the first year section of my Harmione fanfic. I don't think it's very good, and their relationship doesn't evolve until further down the road, but I did enjoy creating this. I feel it's much too short, but I will begin to lengthen it once the story really picks up. If you don't want to or don't have time to view it, I'm totally fine with it and I understand. I just started writing and I don't think I'm very good so I need someone a bit more experienced to review it. Thanks!

Are you planning on ever continuing yuletide blessing in disguise or is it abandoned?

@QueenSirenix ... It's not abandoned. I'm planning on starting on that one again next, but, you know... sometimes life has a way of ruining plans.  
            
            Once I get the brain juice flowing again though, I should be able to complete it, because I know more or less where it's going and the amount of material I have for it should bring me to its conclusion with just a few more chapters. ... Maybe a bit more than just a few, but I'll have to see once I get back into the flow.

I'd forgotten until just now, but my inspiration for that was another poster's icon with pictures of Christian Bale in various roles, with the same one-word-per-frame format saying "I would have made a great Remus Lupin." I quite like David Thewlis's Lupin, though, particularly his voice. I just wish the film script had included his sarcastic response in the book to Pettigrew's forced transformation back to (sort-of) human: "Well, hello, Peter... long time, no see."

If you are known as 'Gandalf's Beard", why is your profile picture that of Saruman?

@SpookyScaryAnirban It's not; look closer, you'll see it's Gandalf the White. Saruman didn't smoke a pipe, for one thing, and even in the thumbnail picture you can see that's Ian McKellan's nose above the pipe, not Christopher Lee's.
