I don’t know if anyone needs to hear this, but I wrote this little letter to myself a while ago, and it helped me out this pass week.
Dear me,
I know it might be tough what you're going through at school, especially because it seems like people you're friends with, seem to be distant. Don't worry, we still have people who look forward into life with us. Don't worry about people who don't care about you, although it's hard, you'll get though it.
Right now, I'm on the couch looking at a screen writing to myself. We can do what ever we want to do without having to worry about who or what is going to stop us. Please don't give up on your dreams, I know it might be hard right now. I know you'll get though it. Look, life is hard. It's not easy now, or ever. Not even people who seem to have it easy, have it easy. Don't believe what ever you see online, believe what you know. We all make mistakes, learn from it. School is showing you how to learn from making a mistake. For an example, math. No, math isn't easy, but learning about how to make it better, is. Math is math, you can't change the problems and answers of math. We can't change history, since it's history. But you can change the future. I know you can. It's hard, believe me. But don't worry about tomorrow, or next week. Or the next 10 years. Worry about now, the moment you're reading this. Worry about how much air you're breathing. Don't think about nothing else, or anyone else. Just think about yourself in this moment. I promise you, you'll feel like the weight off your shoulders leave, and only come back when you're stressing again. Take a small step at a time.
It's hard, I know. Take baby steps to make it happen. Writing helps us, I know. So write! If you're stressed, write, draw, or read! I know you'll get through everything you need to get through. Just remember, Sam. Don't give up!
