If I could do only one thing in my life, it'd probably be to read books while lying on my couch in perfect light having Indonesian food and drink brought to me at regular intervals. If I could do two things, I'd add writing, at a giant table in a tea plantation in the Hymalayas. The above notwithstanding, I don't live in a fantasy world and I don't read or write mystery novels. As a rule. 

I write about people, and hand them the stories I'm kind of glad aren't happening to me, but could if my life were just a tiny bit more nuts, or hard, and if I didn't have my own neuroses firmly in hand (she writes at 5 a.m. as the rest of the world gets in some more brain-resting rest). 

When I'm not reading or writing, I'm hanging out with my fabulous twins or trying to save the world from climate change.
