What are you all’s theories on who Meteor Man (AKA the Stranger) is in Rings of Power? I have my own ideas but I’m curious what other theories are out there.

feanorianloki

@GerithorDunedain certainly. We cannot be sure what he is yet.

@feanorianloki I really think that based on the hints we’ve received (the fire in the crater being cold, and the fireflies dying) he’s definitely evil. For him to be Gandalf would be really strange when they’ve hinted at darker things.

@GerithorDunedain there’s a lot of theories, most of which could be true. I personally just have one that I HOPE isn’t true. If he was Gandalf that would kind of ruin the show for me.

So far, Rings of Power is a pleasant surprise! I’m waiting to do my overall review until the season is over but as of now I’d rate it 8/10.

feanorianloki

@GerithorDunedain I only saw the first episode so far, but I liked it too! They did quite well if you consider how little materials they had. Therefore I forgive them for the flashback. If you think about it, it even could be canon because Galadriel refused to tell Melian about the kinslaying. I was also surprised at how much I liked the OC plot lines, which I expected would rather bother me.

Despite essentially being dead to the Wattpad world, I will be posting my brief review of the first two episodes of Rings of Power when it releases. What’re everyone’s feelings on it so far? Good? Bad? A bit of both?

Liliana-Lithothiel

@GerithorDunedain I agree! The teasers and trailer so far have barely shown Celebrimbor, not to mention Narvi, but we got a lot of Elrond and Durin IV.

@GerithotDunedain @feanorianloki I listened to Bear McCreary for the first time when starting "Foundation" and he is an awesome composer. The soundtracks all have a slightly more fluent and epic feel to them (epic doesn't mean better here) than the LotR ones, but in general they're really good.
"This Wandering Day" and "True Creation Requires Sacrifice" are definitely among my favourites, too! Personally, I thought that "Númenor," "Galadriel" and "Browyn and Arondir" were nice, too.

@GerithorDunedain I had not known him before this (though I had heard his name before), but I have been listening to the Rings of Power soundtrack for the past two weeks and he definitely has earned my admiration, so I certainly will!
'True Creation Requires Sacrifice' definitely has traces of Howard Shore, and it is one of my (many) favourites.
Personally, I think there's one point in the Main Titles that screams LotR as well, but that's kind of obvious because that one actually IS Howard Shore.

@Liliana-Lithothiel my big concern so far is that they seem to be replacing the Celebrimbor/Narvi friendship with the Elrond/Durin IV friendship, which will kind fo stunt Celebrimbor’s character development in my opinion.

I’m very concerned about LOTR on Prime after that trailer.

Liliana-Lithothiel

@GerithorDunedain maybe he's still a teenager or something? I mean, he only gets truly important after the Akallabêth (no thanks to you, Ar-Pharazon). No one cared much for Elendil and his sons until they established the realms in exile, I think.

@LilianaLithothiel true, but they’ve confirmed that the timeline has been condensed to the point that Isildur is alive during that time, or at least shortly after.

@Mimi_Lind I think that was a mortal OC...

Well once more I basically fell off of the edge of the world… and unfortunately it will probably remain that way for some time. Is anyone still active on here?

Cynarr

I'm still here too, hehehe (:

Expect a new chapter of Children of the North soon! In this next part we'll discover that the Fourth Age isn't quite as peaceful as one would hope.

And The Lastborn is receiving updates as well! Chapters 8-10 have been edited!

@WingedWarrior1731 Alas, peace seems to always be fleeting for the unfortunate inhabitants of Middle Earth... But thank you, that is high praise!

@GerithorDunedain this is a bittersweet news since I was hoping for the people of Middle Earth to catch a break for once *le sigh* but on the bright side, we get to read more of your masterpieces!
