Under a moonless sky, my father told me
Look up first, my son, then look ahead
The desert shows no path at all
But the sky always knows the way

Then he pointed to a patient najm
          	Resting above the darkened dunes
"Remember that light when the winds arise
For the sand will hide what the sky reveals"

Many nights I followed his words
while our camels crossed the sahara at night
          	No mountain marked our Tariq
No stone to tell us the way

we traveled by verses and stars
Elders recited and the young remembered
"Follow the northern stars through three nights
Then turn where suhayl greets the fajr"
"pass the red dunes and keep the Pleiades before you
and the wells shall rise from the earth"

Thus the sky become a book
And every star a letter within it
The poets carried it in their qalb
Lest the desert erase it from the ard

Now my father's tent has vanished
And his footprints sleep beneath the sand
Yet I looked where he once pointed
His words return with the stars

          	"The dunes will change,
          	The tribes will pass,
          	But the heaven's remain.
          	So learn their poetry well
One day you shall teach it to your son."

THE QUIET ARCHITECTURE OF A BETTER LIFE

PILLAR 7 — CROSS THE THRESHOLD

Growth begins the moment we are willing to embrace the unfamiliar, even when it feels uncomfortable. Remaining in a place of certainty may provide a sense of security, but it often limits personal development and prevents us from discovering our true potential. Although it can be difficult to step out of your comfort zone, doing so allows you to build confidence, develop resilience, and gain experiences that would otherwise remain out of reach. One simple way to encourage this growth is by setting one meaningful goal each month that challenges you to try something new, no matter how small it may seem. Over time, these small acts of courage become stepping stones towards greater opportunities. Life is built on the chances we choose to take, and every new experience offers an opportunity to learn, grow, and evolve. Great things rarely come from standing still; they are achieved by those who are willing to take chances and venture beyond what feels comfortable.
