oh hey look Im alive. I've moved my stuff over to AO3, I don't like posting here.

My friend brought this up, but I hate Y/N. All I can imagine is this "bubble headed blonde bimbo." With blue eyes, anime proportions, and no personality. Like jesus fucking Christ almighty, if you're gonna make it a reader insert, at least be like "you put on you favorite dress/outfit" or "your hair was (h/c)" or "your (e/c) eyes stared into the glittering water." And by god PLEASE give them a personality, either a GENUINELY INTROVERTED AND SHY ONE, not one of those bullshit "uwU s-sowwy i-im s-shy" ones, if you write an introvert character have them be surprised when someone addresses them, have them mutter and mumble under their breath, give them earbuds, make them seem uncomfortable in large crowds or around people they don't know.
          
          I don't know what I'm ranting about anymore, but let's go with it.
          
          And if you're going to write an optimistic reader, don't make them stupidly oblivious. Have them notice red signs, but still try to justify them, or have them ACTUALLY HAVE A BRAIN. Or, if you're making them sarcastic, have them be dramatic and full of character, make them unintentionally funny, give them a dry sense of humor, and a pessimistic outlook. Please, please, please, make the reader gender neutral. I'm begging you. For pronouns, either avoid them, or say "(he/she/they) like ___" cause IM SICK AND TIRED OF Y/N BEING A GIRL.

Hey, @Zepheonix, a while ago in a comment chain, you said you wanted a fanfic where Percy had been going to Hogwarts for a while but then learns he's the grandson of Voldemort. I'm actually writing one because that was in my mind. I didn't publish anything yet, but I've started to plan things out. So if you ever feel like you want a fanfic like that again, hopefully the story will be up soon!

Imma rant about 3 of the most annoying things about PJO fanfics. (Honestly, I could probably make a small book about this.)
          
          1; this is probably one of the ones that irks me the most.  WHY. ON. EARTH. IS PIPER. THE BADASS, ANTI STERIOTYPICAL DAUGHTER OF APHRODITE. A GODS DAMN FANGIRL. WHY!? JUST- WHY!? THATS NOT HER PERSONALITY IN THE SLIGHTEST! ITS SO ANNOYING AND DISGUSTING! YOUR DISRESPECTING HER BY MAKING HER STERIOTYPICAL.
          
          
          2; Dead Annabeth. How, and why. How did this perfect goddess, this beautiful entity, DIE. Most of the time it doesn't really affect percy other than "oh I'm super depressed now and wanna die" like yeah that might be what Happens at first, but then nothing else is changed. The only Fanfiction that has ever pulled it off for me was The True Half Blood Prince. It's a HP and PJO crossover where Percy is an agent and works with the Wizarding gov. she survived the Titan war and the Giant war like the goddess she is, but died in a robbery. that seems like an understatement, but think about it. it not only affected Percy and his moral compass, but it's also such a normal and scary thing for us. She got shot to death in a robbery. No sword through the gut or being smushed, but she took one wrong step and BOOM! She crumbled to the floor, thousands of miles away from Percy,  in Cali.
          
          
          3; OC inserts. I've never liked OC inserts unless they're low A-B list characters, or they're not the main focus. In PJO though, they're (almost all the time) Mary Sues who has everyone be in love with them, and either Leo, Nico, or Percy fall in love with them, and EVERY TIME it's a WHITE. FEMALE.
          GIVE. ME. DIVERSITY. AT. THE. VERY. LEAST. If they were to go with the characters ACTUAL personalities, Percy would kill himself before breaking up with Annabeth, Nico doesn't even LIKE girls, and Leo has calypso (or he's too busy and awkward to do any human interaction.
