Gianna was born along the shores of the Mediterranean Sea. As a young girl, she spent her summers reading, often at the beach. The result was often a sharper mind, but a blistering skin. When she decided that Italy wasn't big enough, she moved to the United States and became a trauma surgeon. For the next thirty years she faced the daily horrors of life in a Trauma Center. When she quit, she went back to her favorite activity as an adolescent, reading. So she decided to write as well.

Sincere thanks to Africa Book Clubs for placing SILENCE, WIND and CINDER in Second Place at THE COASTAL AWARD. I'm delighted, thrilled and encouraged to write more and better. Thank you again.View all Conversations
