here’s a question for you: When it’s midnight, do you call it 12AM or 12PM?
Most people would say 12AM, right?
But wouldn’t the morning 12 be 12AM?
Nah, idc if I’m factually wrong, that doesn’t make sense to me, cause PM means past noon, right? And 12 in the morning is EXACTLY noon, that’s not past noon. If it’s 12:01, sure, you can say 12PM, but if it’s 12 ON THE DOT, it makes no sense to call it past noon
And most times after 12 are different in military time(global time actually but I’m calling it military time for those Americans), like 1PM would be 13:00, 2PM would be 14:00, but 12 would still be 12:00, so if everything PAST 12 has different numbers, and 12 doesn’t…why would 12 be categorized within them?
And why is midnight called 12AM instead of 0AM? Bc if it’s in the MORNING, it should be called 0AM, but it’s not called 0AM, it’s called 12. After midnight, everything else is 1AM, 2AM, 3AM, but we never get 0AM, it just ends at 12…how would 12 possibly be AM if it jumps from 12 to 1? Meanwhile, it makes sense for a new time to happen(PM to AM) and start from 1
AND furthermore, when it’s noon, it jumps from 12 to 1 as well. 12AM to 1PM makes more sense than 12PM to 1PM, like come on, a random ass minus 9? but in AM, it makes sense bc it starts with the PM, AM ends with 12 and PM starts with 1
We should all start calling midnight 12PM and noon 12AM. THE END
