*Jojo pose* YOU! Part 1

Good job on the story. As the messages i left on chapter 14 say, it's a refreshing book of a simpler story.

No over the top plot about mind controlled armies, no time travel shenanigans, no 1 man harem to rule them all, no overpowered 3 year old with the mind of a 20 year old killing people because the original plot of the anime showed them betray people.

Before i go off track, i'll add what i find great about the story.

Apart from it's simple setting of exploring a dungeon,

Garrick's family is what makes it fun to read, a group of normal people going to a dangerous place to help a city in need.

I like the positive air in this team, acting like actual friends, and their actions are logical to their world.

I liked speculating on Garricks past, and felt bad for him having gone through that.

I like the naive Rolf, but i'm scared of the potential he holds.

Rylan is the rogue i could have a chat with without my wallet disappearing, and that can be seen as a good thing.

The dungeon itself reminds me of the French catacombs, but with less human bones littering the place, and filled with fur.

The monsters were interesting to 'watch', but it felt like they've thought 1 werewolf and 2 different packs of wolves, as much as they were different.

Fighting only 2 types of enemies is fine, but maybe add snall differences to the different packs could come handy:

At the highest floors they might be skinnier and weaker, maybe easier to spot and fight.

Going lower, the packs might get a darker fur pattern, slightly bigger, and better tactics to make them feel more dangerous.

The werewolves could be younger at the higher levels with darker coats, agile builds, but weaker compared to their older counterpart.

I can imagine an encounter were an older and more powerful comes across a party with the smell of blood and a familiar scent. Now they are fighting a Werewolf berserker!

@ GigaChadSteve Similar tactics were used as well for the second more scaly group, which i'd still count as pack mentality since they attacked similar to the first ones.

@ GigaChadSteve Then what do i describe monsters that act like a pack of wolves and an antropomorphic lupus?

Read the descriptions again, without their actual names in mind.

You'll get why i call them that.

Scales or not, they act like a pack of stray dogs.
