From where you left off, Zach and Emma breakup for good. Zach dropped out of Columbia and transferred to Yale. Part 3 picks up four years later and Zach and Emma are still apart and Emma is engaged to someone else. Zach’s dad has died and had had an affair and a secret love child. Genie is back to seeing Paul, even though Genie is still seeing Ben.
