Alright, I REALLY didn't want to talk about this, but I think it's very important to address it and I've been nervous lately, so here I go:
Recently, Wattpad updated its content guidelines, which wouldn't be an issue if said guidelines weren't too vague and confusing; and despite I don't write graphic depictions of... anything, I'm still really concerned about this.
As you might know, “Life, Changes and Automne Feuilles” has been in progress for 2 years now, I still LOVE this series; so when I read these new "rules", I couldn't help but worry if this would force me to alter the story due fear of getting all my hard work removed without notice (even though I have all chapters saved)—especially since I'm a self-taught writer.
So now seeing all this... panorama, I don't know what to do. Yes, I could publish LCaAF somewhere else, but I'm unsure; also, I just... don't wanna leave. I don't want to abandon Wattpad and have to start from scratch in who-knows-where (and I just don't feel like to make another account; I have plenty already).
I've started considering to cross-post LCaAF on AO3 since I already have an account, but that website's mostly known for fanfiction, so I'm not sure about posting original works there (yes, I know they're allowed, but let's be honest, many go to AO3 for the fanfics). There's also SquidgeWorld Archive, but that site is very little known (though I could try, but idk). These are currently my only options, so I feel kinda stuck right now.
However, here's one thing—I WON'T, under any circumstances, erase my Wattpad account or works. I'll keep updating the series here, but also have a Plan B in case things go wrong (sure, I hope it never happens, but better feel safe than sorry).
For now, I'm open to suggestions and advice. So for anyone in my audience: what should I do regarding this situation? I'll read all your replies.
