          why I disappeared? well, I've been on a complete social media/internet detox for the past month an a half, so I haven't laid my hands on my laptop in literally all  that time.

          I'm going to test the waters, I might be a bit more active then . . . absolute static. my health has improved a lot since cutting back almost completely on screens in general, so I'm going to keep that balance as much as possible because my mental health was suffering (┬┬﹏┬┬)

why would I read?
          
          it only cures my anxiety, opens my mind, makes me think and form opinions on important real-life topics, rids me of the last fucks I give regarding haters (cause they're the villains, of course), introduces me to interesting people, teaches me kindness is rewarded and that appearances are deceiving, but your gut feelings are not, brings me to beautiful places for free, and teaches me that violence is wrong, and teaches me to question EVERYTHING, especially the things I'm told as FACTS.
          
          and the only side effect is a sharp, witty, much-improved vocabulary and attention to proper spelling. 
          
          but of course, reading is nerdy and cringe, so all of the above is obsolete because it's not cool to be educated

          also, has anyone ever read "the devil's dictionary"? 
          and are any of you on Project Gutenberg? it's a sight with thousands of free E-books. I've started "the adventures of Tom Sawyer" by Mark Twain a while ago and it's really fun. it's also on the Banned Books of the American Library Association list, which I find funny as fuck.
