@DragonsDwelling Indeed. It’s a ton of work, and I’m learning totally from scratch and doing this solo, but I have an amazing idea and four more months of sleepless nights to complete it. If I’m lucky I can get an early alpha out and make some money for a new apartment before I lose the one I’m in.

Man… I think I’m close to giving up on writing. The more effort I seem to put in, the further behind I seem to get… My spark for writing is dying….

As spoken prior, a crazy ton of writing gets you really winded out; thus eliminating that spark. Trust me I've been there. Took a 3 month break and I started back up.
As the others said, take your time. Great writing doesn't have to be fast. I've been working on my one story for technically some over 2 years now. Maybe 3, I'm not counting.
My point is, enjoy the process. If it turns into a chore, do something to make it not.
