Thank you for voting on my story and for your comments.
          I'm a maths teacher and I can hold my hands up and say grammar is not my strong suit, in fact English generally not my strong suit. It's bad. I'd probably fail the KS2 English assessment!
          I shall go back through and look at it but to be honest what I really need is someone to look at it, show me what I've done wrong. I can't see my own grammatical errors.
