Hmmm that’s a food question. I’m not exactly sure but here’s a rough idea. For starters my AU leans towards world building an I actually put a lot of thought into the world and how it would function. I would like to write a multi chapter long story about Team Sonic and Team Lilac helping the Freedom Fighters overthrow Eggman’s regime and I want to write more serious stories that delve into themes like war and mental health issues. Although the story is still in development and I’m not sure when it will be published but sometime after I beat FP 1 & 2 and I’ll likely still be writing one shots as a side thing. I do plan on writing one story with multiple chapters about each character telling their respective partner about various traumas they suffered. Torque has PTSD, Spade was a drug addic, Carol was neglected as a child, Sonic nearly drowned when he was a toddler etc. I’m currently reading the Archie comics and it’s likely I’ll be taking inspiration from that interpretation of Sonic lore, same with IDW. 

@GodofWarhammer yeah I always felt that when Sonic Lost World released in 2013 it felt like they took Amy's character and made her far more bearable. A lot of people complain that in stuff like Frontiers and the IDW comics Amy is bland but I just think: no, no she isn't. There are hints of her crush on Sonic but it's in a more healthier way like in issue 2. In fact I changed Amy's character in my version of Sonic Heroes to make her crush on Sonic a lot more innocent and wholesome. So no chasing and marrying crap. Mostly because I wanted to erase the worst parts of her character out of pure spite. AnywayI think in general I've always disliked the trope of "obsessive girl likes guy who isn't interested" trope across fiction. Even if I add it in personally like Screwball having an unhealthy crush on Spider-Man in my Marvel AU I have it there to make fun of the trope because Spidey doesn't even like Screwball and mostly finds her annoying to be around

@SuperWarrior64 I hear you, Amy has always been a hit or miss character for me. This is why I adopted her best traits and applied them to my Amy, think of how she was portrayed in the Boom TV show and Sonic Frontiers. Especially since she’s dating Torque who is like a fresh start for Amy.

            Also I hate those assholes who comment on things like Sonaze or Sonally stuff for example where they say "Amy won't be too happy about this" and don't get me started on the whole Amy vs character A who fight over Sonic. I also can't stand channels like Super Hedgehog Bros who are so obviously Sonamy dick riders without even hiding it

@GodofWarhammer I don't like Shadouge as much as I used to but it's good at best. But I think I like them as friends more than lovers. Silvaze is just boring and I cannot stand Knxikal. It's garbage

You already know I don’t like S0n@my and it’s for a variety of different reasons. I see Shadow and Rouge as just friends, same with Blaze and Silver. Tikal and Cosmo are both dead so I don’t know what logic Tailsmo and Knuxikal shippers are working off of. As for Sonia x Espio, I mean do I even need to give an explanation? I swear the only reason people ship these two is because they are both magenta characters, if one was a different color I can guaranteed this ship wouldn’t be nearly as popular.

            Though I do like Shadouge but I rescpect your opinion. As for Tailsmo I'd like it more if it wasn't in the god awful Sonic X cartoon

And that's perfectly fine my friend. I like both equally
            Probably because I'm a multishipper and I ship Tails with a few characters actually
            Marine, Kit, Charmy, Coco and Milla are my main ships for the guy. Mainly because I headcanon Tails as Pansexual 
            But I will only ship these if Tails is either a teenager or adult along with the other characters I just mentioned

I don’t really mind it, I much prefer Tails x Milla to be honest. 

You can be friends with someone who dosen't like a ship you don't. You shouldn't let something as simple as that stop you from being friends
