Dear Readers,

I am so happy to see the positive responses to Candlebright, the latest Buckingham Nicks A/U story in the series. The next chapter just went up, and it’s a “part one” scene. (If you know, you know.) Anyway, two things…

          	1. This era of the family will most likely come in two parts, 1994-5, then 1995-6.

          	2. Unless I get a specific request (which is always welcome) for another era, I think that all the memories of the Mirage/Wild Heart years in this story definitely call for the next era covered in the series to be that one - the early 80s, when the kids were babies and Robin’s death rocked Stevie to her core.

I am working on the next chapter (part two) today. Enjoy!

          	Much love,
          	Linda ❤️

Dear Readers,

Thank you for your support of the latest in the Buckingham Nicks A/U Series, “Blue Lamp”, which is now complete. We’ve got our favorite faux family’s crazy, beautiful, complex story told more than a year into the future, ending in December 2027! Now, it’s time to rewind the clock a few decades to an earlier era in the alternate universe…the mid 1990s.

For those who’ve ever wondered why the Buckinghams moved house from Venice Beach to Santa Monica, or would love to know how Julia and Jodie started school as best friends and graduated a committed couple, or how Stevie got her figure and her creativity and her spark back after klonopin and Street Angel…these questions and many more will be answered in the next installment of the series, “Candlebright”!

          Thanks for reading.

          Much love,
          Linda ❤️

Dear Readers,

Just a quick Part 2 to my previous message…

I have been a Stevie fan since birth. (Literally. My first memory is my mother playing “Dreams” on repeat in the winter of 1978 when I was one and holding the album insert to learn the lyrics.) However, the other night, YouTube served me the video have linked below to a demo I’d never heard before. (If you knew me irl, you’d know that’s nuts.) The song, which is known as “Maker Of Birds” and/or “Three Birds Of Rhiannon”, is one of eleven songs Stevie has written for a movie based on the story that she’s always wanted to put together.

The song is linked below, and it is a clue to the big surprise story I have cooking. I would love to hear your guesses after you’ve heard it (or if you already have). It’s absolutely beautiful and I dare anyone not to cry. My God, she’s awesome.

Dear Readers,

“Trouble In Shangri-La” officially reached its conclusion last night; the final chapter is now up and ready. Now, as I frequent do, I throw it up to you all to let me know what you’d like to see next in the Buckingham Nicks Alternate Universe. Many eras have been covered in the series so far, but here are a few that remain…

          1. Bella Donna & Mirage (1981-3): Stevie goes solo, Robin gets sick, Stevie and Lindsey take two small children to France to make an album, Robin dies.

          2. The Wild Heart (1983-4): Stevie balances grief, motherhood, marriage and solo success and touring and Lindsey must deal all it, and with Joe Walsh.

          3. In Your Dreams, Part 1 (2010-1): Stevie enlists Dave Stewart to help her make an album and the house becomes Ground Zero for the project as Sara deals with mental health issues and finds love lurking in the merry band of filmmakers at her parents’ house.

          4. In Your Dreams, Part 2 (2011-2): The entire family mourns and rallies around Stevie when Barbara Nicks dies at age 84, just after Christmas.

          5. Hall Of Fame (2019): Shortly after Lindsey recovers from bypass surgery, Stevie’s induction into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame comes just before the terrible bout with pneumonia that almost takes away the matriarch of the Buckingham family.

All input welcome as always. Thanks for your support!

          Much love,
          Linda ❤️

Dear Readers,

I just wanted to reach out and say a few words about the latest story in my Buckingham Nicks A/U Series, “Trouble In Shangri-La”. The story, which takes place from late 2006 to 2007, focuses on the conflict that arises when Stevie fails to make an inclusive decision about her family/career balance ahead of her 2007 Crystal Visions Tour. I wanted to say…

          1. The response in the comments of each chapter I publish are enthusiastic and insightful, and I love reading them and responding.

          2. The next story in the A/U Series will continue from this time period.

          3. Many of you are noticing the Easter eggs and callbacks to other stories and how they are connected, and that makes me so happy.

          4. This series is about Stevie and Lindsey and what could have been if they’d managed to stay together during Rumours, but neither Stevie nor Lindsey are perfect people, and their relationship is imperfect as well. In this story, Stevie is the one responsible for the conflict, just as Lindsey has been in the past. Real life is messy, humans are flawed, and long-term relationships are not about always being great partners and more about how to handle it when you’re not. Communication and forgiveness is the key…and the reason why Stevie and Lindsey’s marriage lasts in my universe isn’t because they’re magic - Their marriage lasts because at the end of the day, they love each other more than they hate what the other person has done. The coming chapters will reflect that.

          Thanks for reading!

          Much love,
          Linda ❤️

@GoldDustLinda77 This is why your stories are so good. They are so balanced in holding each partner accountable for their actions. It's what makes it realistic in terms of what could have happened. As you said, neither are perfect and you don't put either of them on a pedestal. I can't wait to see what's next!

Dear Readers,

I am writing this on April 2, and while this is not the point of this message, I am realizing now that today is the birthday of fictional character Julia Robin Buckingham McVie, eldest child of Stevie and Lindsey in my a/u series. Happy Birthday, Jules…LOL! Now, onto the message…

          1. If you follow Buckingham Nicks and Fleetwood Mac fanfiction, you’ve probably heard that Lindsey experienced a new incident yesterday in Santa Monica irl in which his long-time stalker threw “a substance” at him as he arrived somewhere for an appointment. Lindsey is fine, but my wheels are turning…and I see a 2026 reunion story coming soon…

          2. Real life has been catching up with me lately, postponing a few housekeeping items I’d been promising recently ago for my library - namely, cover art for my stories without it, and the creation of a Spotify playlist(s) including the title songs and all songs used in scenes of my stories for you to enjoy/familiarize yourself with as you wish. I will eventually get these things done.

Meanwhile, “Trouble In Shangri-La” is coming along chapter by chapter…and the other shoe is about to drop on Stevie’s secret! Stay tuned!

Thanks for reading! As always, all input welcome.

          Much love,
          Linda ❤️

Dear Readers,

Thank you for your input about my next story!

Young or old, there’s never a dull moment in the Buckingham Nicks Alternate Universe, and the new installment has begun!

“Trouble In Shangri-La” is set in 2006-8, snd this era will be filled with angst, romance, family, and all of the things we have come to expect in the series. Enjoy!

          Much love,
          Linda ❤️

Dear Readers,

We have come to the end of yet another Buckingham Nicks A/U story in the series, as the finale of “Blue Denim” is now up on my page, including two Bonus Chapters.

          Now, a question…

As we plow through about 50 years of living in the A/U Series, few eras remain. I would love your thoughts on this - Would you prefer to read about the earlier days (younger Stevie and Lindsey with little kids) or the later days (older Stevie and Lindsey with 4 children and grandchildren as they arrive)? All feedback welcome.

Thanks for your beautiful comments on “Blue Denim”, and thanks for reading.

          Much love,
          Linda ❤️

One more thing…

It has not escaped my attention that some of my recent stories are without covers. I intend to fix that this week, as well as some other housekeeping issues on my page (series lists, etc.) so you can all read and enjoy hassle-free!

Also, I have created a playlist on Spotify called “GoldDustLinda Fanfiction Soundtrack”. This list begins with the tracks on Buckingham Nicks (1973) in order, and any songs that are titles of my stories (songs by Stevie, Lindsey, Fleetwood Mac or other artists). I am in the process of adding songs to this playlist and will make the link available as soon as I feel like it’s done…or done enough lol.

If you come across an unfamiliar song while reading a scene, you may learn to love a new song!Maybe it’s a song or two you haven’t heard in years and would love to play again. Maybe it’s a beloved classic. Either way, the playlist will be a companion piece to the stories if you’re interested. Have fun with it!

          Happy listening,
          Linda ❤️
