Hey I’ve been reading Triton’s Bay and one of the moments that really touched me was when Lonnie showed Jay the scrapbook of Jaylian from her pregnancy through all the little milestones. The way Jay’s emotions shifted with every page realizing everything he had missed but also everything he was still a part of felt so heartfelt and real. When you wrote that scene did you intend it more as a turning point for Jay to step fully back into their family or as a way for Lonnie to open her heart and let him back in?

@GoldenHawk8890 That makes sense and it definitely came through in the writing it felt like Lonnie was bridging that gap of lost time in such a tender way. I’m curious when you were shaping that scene did you already know how Jay would respond emotionally or did his reaction evolve naturally as you wrote it?

@kjovie2 a bit of both, but mostly Lonnie trying to catch him up on what he missed

fachigo
Please can you complete your story the kiss in the moonlight I really love it
GoldenHawk8890
@fachigo I can try. I remember how it ended, I just need to figure out how to get there. I do have some ideas for other fanfics, but not quite enough to make a plot yet
