@GornroX like 90% of rwby fanfics have slaem as a villan so I just wanted something new but salem is still a great antagonist just wanted some variety

I write for myself first and foremost but ngl it does get me down a bit when a piece doesn't get much in the way of attention.
I throw it out to people so they can view my work. I don't even ask for them to enjoy or validate it just see it. That said, it still clearly weighs on me as I've spoken about before.
I feel hypocritical sometimes whenever I worry about how a new chapter is gonna do or how the people who've invested their time into watching my work feel.
I don't believe myself beholden to anyone but myself and these works are made for my enjoyment but I constantly get hit with feelings that bog me down cuz I get in my own head and worry about how people will react.

@GornroX True. On top of that, it can be a double edged sword at times too. If you share and it becomes poplar and well liked, that’s great! But now people would be asking for updates and the like and it kinda takes away from the fun of writing and makes it feel like a chore.

@HollowedPrince Its just the act of sharing it with others. Even if you do it for yourself you're putting it out for others to look to. You open yourself up and unintentionally become expectant or worry about what's next. It sucks ass but it is what it is
