Our dog, Boomer passed yesterday at around 5 pm in our backyard shed. He was lying peacefully and before was even playing and running around, he never cried like he was in pain. I barely have any pictures of him, and I regret that so, so badly. You may not have the best bond with a pet, but if it’s in your house, make good memories and try to make its life as best as it can be since they won’t live as long as we do. Having to go through with burying a dog I loved so much hurt me and my family so badly. Boomer was a quiet dog who loved to run out back, the age of 8 going on 9 this fall, in fact if you let him in, he’d be clawing at the door only a minute after. Now he’ll be able to chase all the deer and rodents all he wants without getting in trouble. I just hope he knows how much of a good boy he was and how much we all love him and how broken we all are now that he’s not here barking his head off. Treat your pets the best you possibly can, and maybe it’s not best to treat them like your children, it’ll only hurt worse.
