I have never been more mad about a show being good in my LIFE
I binged watched the whole thing in a day and oh GODS. i didn't want to like it but I got so invested towards the end there and dare I say it, REALLY ENJOYED IT???????
highkey I've found I really enjoy pre-slash fics for dynamics I don't like as a ship because... they're pre-relationship so they're not too shippy but the authors also CARE A LOT about the characters' dynamic and that makes the friendship in the fic feel more interesting and more real than most fics tagged with just their friendship tag because five times out of ten a fic in a friendship tag is just.. bland because writers are afraid of having friends show any emotion towards each other lest it be perceived as romantic and nine times out of ten any fic tagged with a friendship is a ship fic where the friendship is playing a supportive role to the ship that the fic actually cares about
LIKE OKAY YEAH. FUCK FRIENDSHIPS RIGHT??? only romantic relationships can have any meaningful connection to one-another. only romance matters, friendships are stupid like. WHAT THE FUCK IS UP WITH THAT??? why is every friendship ever sidelined in media because romance is more important WHAT THE FUCK!!!!!
