Alright, I know a lot of people ask me about writing a "The Boys" book. So, I was thinking of a book, and I know I recently complained about writing the same type of character, but I was thinking it would be interesting to work on a book with the MC [Reader or OC] being inspired by Satoru Gojo, and I wanted your opinions, thoughts and suggestions.

Not sure if you would like my ideas but here it goes:You can make him OP yes but give him backlash like nosebleeds of overuse or you can do he learns about his powers training how to harness them make the domain expansion the hardest one too learn... That's all I got

@Brock_ware I was not asking for an idea for the supe, I already had an idea that I explained in the post. I'm a little confused

Alright, after talking to some friends, both online and in person, even though fewer people irl know about this shii, I did talk. And I think that some of the issues for my issues with my writing are a combination of the following:
          1. I have become FAR TOO obsessed with writing like I'm Stephen King, Rowling, or Modern Shakespeare. (Trust me, the Wednesday x Wolf tiktok I made, I have chapter one written, and I've tried writing fanfiction like it's an original novel being published by an agency)
          2. Repetitive writing. Honestly, a lot of my recent books have basically been the same shii just in different covers; ToC: sarcastic chad with powers, RiftBorn: sarcastic powerful twins, OaO: Sarcastic cunt who probably has insane powers. Fae Touched: Sarcastic Chad with a lot of powers.

I genuinely think I might need to take a break from all my books and try to write a book with a completely different character. Not overpowered, not super witty with an answer for everything. I think I need to take a break from that same character model, maybe even pick a show or something that I haven't been obsessed with. Like, a new fandom with a character (Y/n or OC) who, maybe is more quieter, maybe shyer or just less verbal. Just try and reset my writing capabilities for a book or two.

@GraysonCreates Ooh, I'd love to se your take on a different kind of character. The quiet and shy idea is absolutely fantastic. Honestly though, do as you please. I know I'll enjoy your writing either way :)

That sounds like a good idea if that’s what you need to do.

I miss three years ago, when I was writing Fenrir and a wolf, FoxFire, Nexus, because back then, I was basically posting a chapter a day, nowadays I struggle to get a chapter out every week...

Wait... I've been writing fanfiction FOR THREE YEARS?!?!?!

GraysonCreates

@CaJaAr No, that is exactly what is wrong. If you compared one of my older works to one of my newer, like Blood and Shadows to RiftBorn, the quality is so much better, and the more I focus on quality, the longer it takes me to write a chapter because I am falling into that trap where I have this perfect idea but I am struggling to write that, and therefore, I can't write nearly as fast as I once could

@GraysonCreates I’ve noticed this phenomenon in myself, as well. Before I came to Wattpad, I wrote story chapters quite quickly, usually a couple every week, sometimes more than that.

            What changed? Quality.

My writing has certainly gotten better, much like I presume you’d agree yours has. That quality takes more time and effort, which both means longer writing sessions that often seem more tiresome.

It’s worth it, though. Whilst I know I’d love to go back a year’s time to when I could write chapters quickly and consistently, I’m happy to be inconsistent if it means higher quality. I’m sure something there is probably true for you, too.

Just my nugget of thought, I might be wrong :)

@GraysonCreates Yeah. It sucks. But hey, you're not alone.

And three years of writing, that's insane, bruh. You might be having trouble, but you still locked in. Respect.

I am going to be honest with you guys and gals, I almost didn't want to continue with Trails of Crimson [my One Piece story] because I feel like Y/n is both overpowered and somehow not powerful enough. I feel like I wanted to write a powerful character, and I did, but at the same time, I didn't fully commit to him being overpowered. So, I might have to retcon some stuff in Season 2, if that's alright with everyone. It will be one of two things:
1 - I'll lower Y/n's initial power, keeping him strong, just not overpowered like he is meant to be in Season One.
2 - Lean into the Overpowered nature of his Devil Fruit, but increase the dangers of overuse and increase the backlash he has when using the fruit
