BRO, hear me on this, ok this is somehow my AU (Because its my take on Wukong's young personality and Macaque brotherly bond), Sun Wukong in the brotherhood knowing his brother would die because of him, Macaque told him so in one of his random future hearing problems, altrought Macaque really doesnt think it was Wukong who kills him, Wukong KNOWS because nobody else sounds that specific, only himself
But you know what? He pretended not to know, maybe because he wasnt as desesperate to keep Macaque safe as he wants to admit, still kept the act of thinking everything will go just fine between them both while ignoring the nights or times Macaque just said about being scared of the future yet also practicing how he will die.
Sun Wukong (IN THIS AU BTW) never really learned how to fully love without it being unhealthy or toxic in a way for some people, he was always dragged around or hated by everyone since the day he was born so he never got the chance to truly experience real warmth or platonical love to understand how to treat someone with it being "real".
Andddd well, considering this is kinda set in LMK that means the brotherhood thing with Azure and the others happened... Which is the only place Wukong ever felt truly real and free for his choices and not being judged by just being himself, loved and supported even after everything ANDDDD thats where he found Macaque, someone he could take care of and not worry of being the one being kicked and destroyed but trying to give the love his little brother deserves but with the will of being the one that can destroy it all.
Also yes Past Macaque willingly went to every plan Wukong makes, tho first questioning it a bit but of course his older brother knows best so yeah
BUT ALSO IN THIS TAKE : Macaque really feels a lot of admiration for him since the day he found they are related in a way, just seeing how big of a impact wukong is to everyone, thats why he even is a artist because he wanted to be as good as wukong in something (WUKONG TEACHED HIM HOW TO DRAW BTW)
BUT ALSO, its totally ok for macaque to try and defend his brother or get hurt meanwhile protecting him, but its NOT okay when Wukong does risky things for him that would lead to his death (he doesnt want to lose the only real family he ever had bro)
Take in mind this is past macaque so his behaviour changed a lot before jttw and THAT chapted happened.
