Is it weird to read fanfics with characters under 18 if you're over 18? I was reading a fanfic and the author left a note in one chapter about anyone over 18 to stop reading because it was gross as the characters were like 15 or 16. And there was over 100 comments with people saying their age and being thankful they were under 18. They said things like who read fanfics in their 20s? And eww, perverts, pedos, and a bunch of other negative things. 
          
          I've been reading fanfiction since I was 11, I'm 25 now and they've been in my life longer then any friend beyond my siblings. I can't imagine not reading fanfics. I know some authors on here write characters under 18 because the characters are underage and for story purposes. I've never thought it was weird. 
          
          Any thoughts? Like I've been reading fanfic since quizilla was alive. Longer then some of those commenter have been alive. Why do they have more of a right to be here then us because of our age? Was really upsetting to see.
          
          (Also no there was no lime sex or anything like that either. They kissed but that's it wasn't heavy or intense.)

I don't usually post messages here but this is important. I'm not saying go out of your way to do something kind. But don't go out of your way to be an asshole for no reason at all. 
          
          I'm sat here eating a burger and fries wearing headphones. Two other girls younger then me (I'm 25f) came in and they were talking about like PE class and losing weight. I got my food and put headphones on to listen to music when the smaller girl waved and got my attention. 
          I pulled off my headphones and she tells me "you know there are videos on YouTube to help you lose weight." I'm like what the fuck? But tell her "ok thanks?" And put headphones back on. She puts her bag on the table next to me and pulls out her phone and turns to me. She deadass pulled up a weight lost video on YouTube to show me. And made sure to point out the name. And then another video from a YouTube who makes long videos. And then one about hair balding. 
          
          I'm just shocked like wtf? She doesn't know me she's acting all sweet like she's doing ME a favor and I'm here like go away. I glance at the video and tell her good for you cool. So she made a point of saying the name again and I'm like yeah thanks and put my headphones on. 
          
          As her and her friend leave she's all "Hey good luck!"
          
          Who does this shit? Like I'm big and my hair is thinning and I have alot of health problems I'm trying to get undercontrol to get those things fixed. 
          
          DONT BE AN ASSHOLE LIKE THIS. I'm honestly really upset rn but maybe I'm sensitive.
