Story description: 
The butterfly effect. The phenomenon whereby a minute localized change in a complex system can have large effects elsewhere.

You won't be able to see it if you are immersed in it of course - otherwise the consequences would be oh so different. But for an outsider like me, watching on - it's crystal clear.

Everything happens for a reason. A glass will become shards of broken pieces with just a slip of the hand, or a push off a table. As long as you have the effect, you will soon know the cause. So, if you put together the broken segments of this mess of a family, you'll find that the butterfly effect will immediately trace itself back to a small yet fatal mistake.
