Gytha is a 28-year-old award-winning playwright, novelist, satirist, and most other things ending with -ist. She began writing plays whilst at Corpus Christi College, Cambridge, and quickly became known there and beyond for her blend of twisty, dark entertainment. 

She won the 2009 Geoffrey Whitworth Award for best new UK play, and the following year toured her one-act play Otherwise. The play picked up a fringe award for best new play and was selected for Leicester Square Theatre's best of the fringe season. 

Gytha has recently begun writing prose in earnest, and completed a literary novel, The Butterfly Catchers, this summer. She signed with Curtis Brown in October 2012 and is now working on a second novel, a full-length musical, a full-length screenplay and a novel for the 9+/young adult market.
