Hello,
The Review Shop has officially closed as I realise I have ZERO time anymore due to working full-time and life.
I am still writing, do not worry, but I think I'm going to be a hermit.
Regardless, I'm writing a new book.
Here's a snippet:
Chapter 1 - Eliza
The streets of Manhattan no longer felt the same. Most people thought it was because of the cameras flashed in my direction or the countless people who chased in awe.
The truth is because it was another day, where I live another day without you.
Each day is a cycle, where I live out the dream you had.
Each day is another day, where I spend 24 hours with strangers and the rest of the night is spent with a search for stars that remind me of you.
The camera rolled, my back cushioned by a brown plush sofa. This was not a normal day.
It's time for the truth.
The interviewer flicked through his script before the camera broadcasted everything onto live TV.
“Welcome to ABC news where we give you the latest, trending news around the world. Today, we are focusing on our treasured model from Manhattan. Eliza Greyhan to tell us about her highschool days.”
Sweat trickled down my cheek, my body shifted towards the camera. The reflection of my twenty-five year old self appeared, and then my seventeen-year-old self.
“This is for you, Hamid.”
Adiós,
Harjeet
