          Do you guys know about the Rewind the Classics contest on Wattpad? I wrote an entry for it! It's called The Price of Power, and it's a Hades X Persephone retelling... from the POV of Demeter. 
          
          Also, I feel like I should warn everyone who wants to read that I'm not as focused on H and P. My main intent while writing this story was to hone in on the emotions of Demeter, Persephone's mother. 
          
          Please give me any suggestions that you think will help improve the flow and overall quality of the story. Maybe tell me if I hit the emotions spot on or if there's still some work to do. If I don't receive any major feedback, I'll be submitting it tomorrow. Thanks, y'all!

          I'm in need of some advice on your opinions. I'm trying to decide which book I should work on first (the three in my banner). 
          
          As you know, I removed Blaze from my main account because I didn't want to start posting chapters for it again until it was finished (at least the first draft), but now, I'm ready to take another jab at it if that's what you guys want to read. Currently, there's 13 chapters that I've written for it. 
          
          You all may remember Contingency as well. It was the first crack I made at dystopian sci-fi, and it was utter garbage. I rewrote it up until chapter 6, and I think it reads much more smoothly. 
          
          The new cover is for 'Spy of the South,' a historical fiction book. I have 1 chapter of that written. 
          
          Which begs the question... what would y'all be interested in reading first? 
          
          1. Blaze, a fantasy novel about half-human, half-dragon creatures 
          2. Contingency, a dystopian novel about a team working to dismantle a corrupt government 
          3. Spy of the South, a historical novel about a man who discovers that there's a third party in the war he's fighting aiming to destroy both sides.

          Alright. Here's the deal. This community account is something that I created to help other writers grow and improve, but because I didn't really know how I wanted it to work when I created it, there are going to be a few changes. 
          
          Since I've had bad experiences with 'awards' run by users, I will (most likely) not be hosting an awards on this community ever. In addition, awards are a ton of work, and half of the time, the participants don't do everything you ask of them. Hell, some of the people who signed up for Turtle Rock Review Shop don't do the payments and rules. 
          
          My last gripe about awards is the judging process. In addition to many 'judges' dropping out and ghosting the communities, it is unfair to make a claim on someone's writing based on a rubric. That's not how writing works. Writing is subjective. Therefore, there will be no awards here. 
          
          Second thing—I am changing the name/themes of this profile. Although I wanted this to be a community account at first, I realized that I will not be able to give out the password to this account to any admins because my personal google account is attached to it. 
          
          With that being said, I've decided to make this just a regular, user-run account and not a community. The people that are reviewers and graphic designers will remain in those positions, but the admin role will be dissolved and relegated solely to me. 
          
          How is this going to work, you may ask. I will be keeping both Golden Fish Graphics and Turtle Rock Review, so don't worry. Since you all know that my main account is mostly fluffy and light YA, I wanted to use this account to post my mature works that tackle things other than teen fiction. 
          
          The new username is going to be @HK_Books, so please be on the lookout today for the change. Thank you all for understanding!
