          It’s such a crazy time to be alive as LA is left in shambles after the great fire, Donald Trump wanting to buy Canada and Greenland (like why??), and now people in the US are fleeing TikTok as the app is set to be banned on Sunday (January 19th). 
          
          Oh, let’s not forget the hyperinflations happening and new mysterious HMPV virus! 
          
          I am hoping the rest of 2025 would be a little better. Also, I have some great news! I am already halfway done working on Chapter VIII (pt. 6) of “AMANDI” and set to finish Chapter IV of “BIOMETRICS II” so I can enjoy the rest of summer in March. Oh God! I’m gonna miss those cool, windy days ... ʕ⁎̯͡⁎ʔ༄

I kind of blame the Internet for making us dumber and irrational at the same time. I swear these days people would rather walk on eggshells and be forced to make their demeanor and thoughts serviceable as to not offend anyone.
          
          For some reason, it’s become so difficult to be yourself without others assuming you’re always looking for trouble and breaking you apart (like “Oh no! She’s from this country and has XYZ traits therefore she must be problematic!”). 
          
          They tell you not to get involved and just keep your thoughts to yourself because it might be rude and insensitive. The fact people could get killed over some silly post on social media tells you a lot about our society. Some people are just not cut out to be online and taught how to handle differences. 

First of, I just wanna thank everyone — including the silent readers — for continuing to support the BIOMETRICS series. The first book currently has 5.2K reads and 449 votes while the second one has 81 reads  *\(^o^)/*
          
          I know Squid Game is the hype right now but if you’ve seen the dream cast page, you’d know that shady recruiter guy is gonna be the VA for Mr. Lee if the book was gonna be turned into a series. Yes, that’s right! It’s none other than Gong Yoo. 
          
          You also probably noticed how I haven’t chosen a voice actor for Aunt Judy and the twins yet. Now, I have an idea. I was like thinking Kari Wahlgren play Aunt Judy while Bryce Papenbrook (yes, the guy behind Cat Noir) gets to voice the twins. 

If “Infinity Train” was an indie series, you bet I’d binge that show nonstop! It’s so difficult to stumble upon pirated episodes online. While I never watched the show, I remember hearing one of the characters Samantha saying “We can’t look inside people’s heads, even those we love.” 
          
          It was just chilling. There are just things that are better left unsaid to avoid any unnecessary drama. Not everyone is gonna view things the same way as you do. There are some things which the person may not be ready to share yet. 
          
          The thought of actually looking into someone’s brain is dangerous.

To anyone living in LA, I hope y’all are safe as I heard just how terrible the fires are over there. 
          
          I know I’m gonna loose followers everytime I talk about news like these but that’s less of my worries as I want many people to be aware what’s going on. I bet a lot of my readers also live in the city or at least near it. 
          
          It’s only been a week since the New Year’s yet we’re getting fires, the rise of AI, hyperinflation and now a mysterious virus from China. Oh boy! I wonder how the rest of 2025 is gonna be like. This is kind of similar to 2020 (´；Д；`)
          
          I know many people on Wattpad expect this platform to be positive and also me but I’m not that kind of author who only must create these fun pieces of fiction and keep my raw thoughts to myself ‘coz they might get the wrong idea that I’m fear-mongering and risk getting reported.

          If you’ve been wondering where I am, I’ve been not only stressed at work and dealing with other personal dramas in life but also working on my latest graphic novel BIOMETRICS II. I hope to finish Chapter 4 before summer begins — which starts in March. 
          
          Oh boy! I’m afraid it’s gonna be a much fiery season this year. I also wanna remind those who wanna follow me that my books are not gonna exactly be for everyone as I sometimes tend to explore serious themes and they’re not gonna be 100% perfect ‘coz I’m an indie author. 
          
          I can be pretty raw and expressive at times so to avoid cases of folks unfollowing me ‘coz I upset them, only follow if you’re comfortable with my demeanor and style of writing. 

If you’re working on an indie novel or animated show, you’ve gotta make it accessible to almost everyone. I mean provide official translations and make a story that can resonate with people around the world.
          
          I hope Wattpad doesn’t continue to suck as I am considering translating my books in the future, that I can get more attention.

          Something people need to realize that it’s natural for writers to write books that primarily appeal and make sense to them. They have a particular audience in mind.
          
          Someone with ADHD is bound to write books that are also accessible for other people with ADHD. For others, they’d choose to write in a certain language in order to communicate with other speakers. A lot of my books are also the kind of stuff I’d like to read and hope other like-minded folks enjoy that (even if I have a knack to italicize dialogue but that’s because it’s a stylistic choice).
          
          “But you’ve also gotta make it appealing to other neurotypical readers, individuals who are legally blind and other folks who may not like your style of writing as well!”
          
          Uh, no. It’s important to find the right books that suit your needs. Don’t expect everyone to cater to you. You’ve also gotta put in the work and use the right tools at your disposal to make your reading experience easy for you.

I remember stumbling upon a post somewhere that claims how a lot of Western folks tend to be oblivious about other cultures yet expect others to know all about their own culture and language. 
          
          While I disagree with some of their takes and think they’re kind of reaching here, I do somehow understand where they’re coming from. From my limited experience, I feel like this mostly applies to people living in the U.S. because most of them tend to view the world through US-centric lenses. 
          
          A lot of folks who migrate to the U.S. have to assimilate and eventually forget to speak their native language. They do teach French and Spanish in schools there except they aren’t widely used in the country. 
          
          People in the U.S. may not understand Greek mythology in the same level as the Greeks do. Heck, they don’t 100% know what’s really going on here in the Philippines or other countries unless it directly involves them or they saw them on TV. 
          
          When they say West, are they solely referring to North and South America? It’s best to be skeptical of the things you see on the Internet and news these days. 

If you think “Squid Game” is all about people getting mass-murdered in a children’s game because all they care about is money and The Joker is a pretty relatable character who has inspired you to commit atrocities, then you definitely lack media literacy.
