Happy Eid, everyone! Uh oh … Looks like someone’s salty today, they just unfollowed me *smug Wendy face (‾꒳‾ )*
My apologies if my post has somewhat upset you. I don’t mean to freak people out. If you’re new here, do know I just love speaking my mind and love some good ol’ friendly banter.
I’m basically an outspoken liberal author on social media at this point ( ´ ▽ ` )

So, quick update! I’m slowly recovering after an emotionally stressful week and now it’s laundry day.
Whew! It’s Friday already? Time sure flies so fast ε-(´・`) フ ✨
As Eid is just around the corner, I’ve recently been interested in learning more about Arab culture. You will also see a lot of Muslim influences littered across the later chapters of “AMANDI.”
There are just so many things that I don’t know about them. For example, listening to music is forbidden in Islam (though this might pertain to inappropriate ones).
You’re also not allowed to eat and drink in public during Ramadan which is when our Muslim neighbors are supposed to be fasting during the day.
So far, “AMANDI” currently sits at a total of over 60K words. Here’s hoping I’m able to give this book a final great hurrah before summer rolls in ★彡

[BOOK RECS + UPDATES]
Hey gang! Don't forget it's also St. Patrick's Day and let's all celebrate our fellow Irish neighbors ☘️⋆˚࿔ ☘︎ ₊˚✧ ゚.
Anyway, go check out my friend @MJKristo11's work called "MJ's Poetry." Since they live in the UAE, your love and support truly mean a lot especially during these dark times.
She also writes wholesome romance books which is perfect for the goodie Christian readers out there. Wattpad could really try introducing those kinds of books, given their whole entrée is mostly made up of dark romance.
As for me, I'm caught up working on AMANDI and hoping to continue reading "Heart In The Stars" by @TheSmileMaker. I am also hyped for episode 8 of Digital Circus which is set to release on Eid ⋆。゚︎☪︎⋆。゚︎☪

I know this might be a hot take but some people gotta learn how things actually work and accept consequences before opening their mouths.
You can't keep preaching freedom of speech when you live in a country that prohibits sharing sensitive content and has its own set of rules. You can't be mad at Wattpad for not being allowed to write inappropriate sexual fantasies and act like the victim when they literally had guidelines prohibiting those things.
You can't be reckless by posting selfies while attending a protest and flipping at the cops without any idea of what you're actually getting yourself into. If you think it's ok to be mean on the Internet and those who can't handle it are a bunch of sissies, then others have the right to disagree and call you out.
This is also coming from someone who used to be impulsive and rebellious myself. Freedom of speech is learning to be responsible of what you say and knowing who you're dealing with. You can still be a badass without straight-up upsetting anyone and causing trouble.
Many artists and writers have also used metaphors when tackling taboo topics to bypass censors. You can spread awareness by sharing posts online. You can be critical of someone without bullying them. Don't forget to look after yourself, too!

✨ GREAT NEWS ✨
*"Back From The Dead" by Halestorm starts playing in the background*
*ੈ✩‧₊˚Tumblr is finally back in the Philippines! Woohoo! Hopefully, this ban doesn't happen again ⋆✴︎˚。⋆
If you're interested for more sci-fi, mystery content and pop culture news, it'd be well-appreciated if you guys gimme a follow as I aim to reach 320+ followers this weekend.
Yeah, yeah! I've been working on my books in a while that a lot of my time is spent on writing than reading -- which is actually for a good reason. I try to limit my media library because everything I tend to read or even watch would often bleed into my work.
This is why you see instances where a show or book seems to be inspired by someone else's work. The chances of having similar works isn't unheard of, sometimes leading to plagiarism.
I'm not saying you should stop reading altogether. It's just that a lot of ideas are often inspired by other works and you're bound to pick up certain writing styles or words in some way. It's kind of like with art. If you grew up with the post-2010's Tumblr art style, then it's likely your art is gonna be influenced by that.

[✨UPDATE ✨]
What a weird timeline we live in! Now, even the local news in the Philippines are covering the Tumblr ban lol (≧∇≦)!
My bet is the preppy weebs and furries must’ve pissed off the gov’t or somethin’. Speaking of, hold on to your seatbelts as we get some amazing updates starting this month:
• Chapter 6 (PART 2) of BIOMETRICS II > April 5th (06:00 GMT+8/08:00 GMT+10/10:00 GMT+12)
• Chapter XIII (PART 2-3) of “AMANDI” > April 25th (06:00 GMT+8/08:00 GMT+10/10:00 GMT+12)

Assalamualaikum (Greetings)! To both of my silent and active fans of BIOMETRICS, I am happy to announce that Chapter 6 (PART 2) of BIOMETRICS II is set to release on April 5th. Hope you don't miss it ଘ(੭◌ˊᵕˋ)੭* ੈ♡‧₊˚
I believe this series still holds up in my opinion. With the rise of online censorship and age restriction laws taking over the world, they are basically a huge middle finger to either of those things.
To me, BIOMETRICS is more than just a mere sci-fi graphic novel for kids. It serves as a cozy escape where you get to explore different worlds without barriers and feel in control for once.
It shows how everyone, especially kids, need a safe space where they can have fun and also be equipped to survive the real world thanks to these characters. A place where they can express themselves without the risk of losing their autonomy and privacy.
Now, this isn't some shameless marketing meant to rub it on people's faces or propaganda speech. I am not trying to insert my book into a very serious conversation either.
The point is nobody, not even the government, should be interfering with our online experience and entertainment. If the reason why they want to get rid of something is because it clashes with their worldview and they want to control everyone, then why should anyone trust them?

To my fellow Tumblr users from the Philippines, I am sad to inform you that the platform is blocked in the country. Based on a few accounts online, it was considered a "gambling" site by the authorities. Welp! Looks like I'm gonna have to use a VPN. I also heard that changing the country/region of your device helps.
If you've been following me on Tumblr as well, it looks like we're gonna have to communicate here on Wattpad. Ugh! There's no way I'm going to use some popular platform like Twitter or BlueSky 'coz I want to limit my digital footprint and save my mental health from the constant toxicity from social media. Even if I had to, I won't even use it much because my audience isn't there.
Seriously, a gambling site? Does the silly fandom site have a casino or something? Don't tell me my country is also introducing one of those age restriction laws on the Internet, too!

Today on March 9th is Barbie’s birthday! Yes, she is now 67 years old (*^o^*)
Truth be told, I never was a fan of Barbie! I remember being so scared of dolls when I was younger.
I suppose the movie “Chuckie” must’ve caused me to be afraid of dolls (especially the ones with big dole eyes) or how I tend to play with toys that are unconventional for girls at the time such as Legos or toy trucks.
At the same time, I am aware how much of an impact Barbie has on everyone. Imagine a doll who can be a supermodel, astronaut, teacher, athlete, etc. It reminds kids that you can be anything you want if you put your mind to it.

Happy Int’l Women’s Day, folks! (*ᴗ͈ˬᴗ͈)ꕤ*.゚
Let’s celebrate all the greatest female role models out there. Whether it’s a real person or character, they continue to inspire many young girls around the world.
Back then, the thought of an independent young woman was almost unheard of. Women weren’t even allowed to vote, drive and attend school like men do.
We had stories where a girl’s role is to be the main guy’s love interest, just being fanservice to someone who could kick butt. We may have come a long way but unfortunately that ain’t always the case for everyone.
There is still gender bias especially in various fields. There are still cultures that treat women as lesser beings who should obey men. Everyone deserves to be treated equally, not differently.
