Hey everyone! I know it’s still the Wattys season but with how much the event continues to make it a lot harder to join overtime and the platform as a whole doesn’t seem to allow authors to even think outside the box, you can’t help but feel discouraged. 
          
          Last week, I initially thought Wattpad was mocking me because I got a notification saying “The Wattys Are Open. Your stories are eligible.” 
          
          Did they finally decide to accept “AMANDI” after seeing that scathing post I’ve made? Of course not! (ノдT)
          
          Some people would suggest joining the Ambys instead and I’ve heard it is basically Wattys lite. This platform is just a huge claw machine that only picks up whatever would appeal to the BookTok masses.
          
          So if you’re wondering what I’ve been up to, I am slowly climbing my way back up to finishing Chapter 7 of BIOMETRICS II and reading.

OMG! Looks like we've got a salty neighbor out here. I suppose they unfollowed upon finding out the unsuccessful writer still perseveres and gets to be proud of herself regardless  (≖⩊≖)
          
          As I aim to reach 320+ followers this weekend, I am happy to announce that we'll finally be able to see the characters from "AX-17: TH KIRA DIARIES" on July 11th (15:00 PST/18:00 EST) & July 12th (02:00 GMT+4/06:00 GMT+8/08:00 GMT+10).
          
          I actually had a little bit of fun drawing the characters. Just a quick hint: The overall art style is gonna have this mix of lazy doodles and Y2K scene aesthetic.

Today AMANDI will be hitting 900 reads. Ayo, Screen Australia hit me up lol jk! (≧∀≦)
          
          
          I hope y’all are having a great day. This week has been rather stressful for me. Being broke, bullied and rejected by many opportunities can certainly take a toll on you.
          
          It’s hard to get into writing when the entire world seems to be against you. However, that doesn’t mean I’ve already given up. Maybe it’s just not my time yet.

So I've got some good and disappointing news! While AMANDI is already climbing up to 890 reads, it hurts to say that it won't be making it to the Wattys for it didn't fit their rigid standalone sequel rules (눈_눈)
          
          While there are some plotlines that would only make more sense if you've read TCOTRB (or at least that was my initial view on AMANDI), I think you can still read the sequel on its own and at least understand what happened prior. 
          
          Like dude! If your average Wattpad reader can't even be bothered to read the recap page at the start and try to piece together how things unfolded leading up to the events of AMANDI, then it's just plain lazy in my opinion. 
          
          If you grew up in the 2000's, chances are a lot of cartoons and comics tend to have quick recaps of previous episodes at the start. They always say "Previously on ... ", with a couple of examples being "W.I.T.C.H." and "Winx." I think we should bring back that trend.
          
          Anyway, there's plenty of better opportunities for everyone. It is thanks to them that I shall continue working on my next best novel called "AX-17: THE KIRA DIARIES" (๑•̀ ᴗ•́)૭✧

In case you haven't seen it, the prologue for "AX-17: THE KIRA DIARIES" is out now. While you're at it, please heed the disclaimers at the start of this book just so you're aware of the type of story this will entail (..◜ᴗ◝..)
          
          We'll be able to see more of the characters on July 12th. I am still working on the character sheets though. The rest of the chapters will be rolling out at the start of November (a.k.a. Sci-Fi Month)

          This weekend sure is wild! Here's hoping I get to join the Wattys with no issues and also they boycott that stupid KIDS Act which was passed on to the Senate yesterday. What is going on in the U.S. right now?

          As for me, I’m slowly crawling my way back into working on BIOMETRICS II (though my drawing skills are gonna be a bit rusty considering I haven’t drawn in a while) and “AX-17: THE KIRA DIARIES.” 
          
          Let’s talk about “AX-17: THE KIRA DIARIES” real quick. It’s basically about healing, maturity and regrets. This has got to be one of the most challenging projects I will ever work. 
          
          So far, there are only the first four chapters (or in this case, ‘entries’) ready and I won’t be touching this book for a while as I do more research on Jewish and Muslim Arab culture. 
          
          I realize how a lot of my perception are often false and based on Western sensibilities.

          Also, what the hell is going on in the Philippines right now?! I know this is gonna be a rather gruesome news but we really need to talk about it.
          
          From recent stabbings to school shootings occuring just weeks apart, schools are becoming less safe places to be in right now. The reason behind all this stems from bullying to video games.
          
          Where were the parents when these students were up to no good? 
          
          Unfortunately, mental health isn’t as widely taken seriously in this country. The education system is cooked. 
          
          I also worry how this could encourage the government to implement stricter Internet bills that would risk limiting everyone’s online activities. They’re already trying to follow Australia as well. 
          
          Most of all, the viral debate over whether minors should be sentenced or not. These young perpetrators are obviously effed up on the head and regardless, I think they should be put in maximum security and get IP banned for everyone’s safety.

So I’ve just finished watching the TADC finale and it really felt like a huge payoff. We get to dive deep into Ragatha and Jax’s relationship.
          
          Everyone has finally learned how to overcome their personal demons and heal. Lastly, Caine’s redemption arc ✨
          
          As for the newbies stumbling upon AMANDI, hope you guys get to read it from start to finish, vote and kindly let me know what you think (NOTE: Please be respectful, ok? Avoid self-advertising or smack talk in the comment section).
