You carried the dreams of millions and stood as a beacon for those of us who believed in a kinder, stronger, and more inclusive world. Even in the face of hardship, you reminded us of the power of resilience and optimism.
          	
          	You said, “Let us fill the sky with the light, brilliant light of stars, the light of optimism, faith, truth, and service.” You helped light that sky for us. Even now, as we face moments of disappointment, your light shines on. I think of the words you quoted, “Only when it is dark enough, can you see the stars,” and it’s true. You’ve shown us the way forward, even when the path felt difficult.
          	
          	Thank you for trying to make the world a better place. Your fight, your light, and your unwavering belief in service mean so much to all of us.
