I know I’ve been gone for a while, and I wanted to pop in and explain instead of just disappearing on you.
Life got very busy on my end—work has been taking a lot out of me lately, and writing had to sit quietly on the sidelines for a bit. That said, I never stopped thinking about this story. In the little pockets of time I did manage to steal, I went back to it with fresh eyes and rewrote it the way it always deserved to be written.
Because of that, “Against the World” has evolved into something deeper, darker, and more intentional—so it now lives on as “The Encore That Swallowed Us.”
I already have quite a few chapters written, and while I can’t promise specific update dates, please know I am working on it and will update as fast as I realistically can without burning myself out.
Thank you for being patient, thank you for sticking around, and thank you for caring about this story as much as I do. I can’t wait to share this new version with you.
