I always hated it when writers left their stories to rot, and never finished them. Even more so when they were good, and had a ton of support from readers.

I will not become the very thing I swore never to be.

As such I tell you: It is done.

After 4 month of absence, I come back with the end of Volume 9 for the Light Path story I started many years ago, in the form of 4 chapters.

Of course this is in no way an accomplishement. I simply deliver to you what I had promised to begin with. I am sorry that it took so long, and will not make excuses for myself as it would be unnecessary.

As I see no point in making you wait any longer, they are all released as of right now. Enjoy.

          	Now, for what's next.

I am growing tired of writing the script of this show and adding my things here and there. That's why I did Volume 9 without y/n, to bring novelty. That's the story I went for an I will continue on this path until RWBY ends.

Now about the show, I have bad news. As of now, 6 months after the release of Volume 9, the production of Volume 10 has not been greenlit. Meaning Rooster Teeth still did not assure us there will even be one. I won't go into details but the company has some well-known financial problems leading to this situation.

This could very well mean that this is the last official RWBY volume we will get. Or just that it will take years.

In this case, I will, like you, wait.

However, if it is announced at one point that the show is canceled... Well I told you I hated it when authors didn't finish their story.

So I'll do it. If Volume 10 never sees the light of day, then I'll write my own and publish it here. Because it will very probably be the last one.

I know I sound arrogant as hell, but I care not. This is my promise.

Thank you for still reading my dumb story after (my god) 3 years. It is insane to me that I have so many people enjoying my writings, and it drives me to better myself.

          	See you, fellow internet wanderers.

@Haiko__ Yo, just checking up on ya!
Was admittedly always a pretty big pan of this series you made as I really liked the vision you had. Honestly, I've really loved your writing of the MC and the interactions, as well as actually having him interact with things and those actions have some level of influence than other Y/N characters in stories that are just there with no influence. It also makes me want to say that, perhaps a hot take, but you did such a good job I think it would have been more interesting to have him be considered an OC than just a Y/N as he has a lot of his own strengths, weakness, but most importantly views, beliefs, actions, etc. that are entirely of his own personality. Perhaps I'm reading too much into it but I kind of like to think that the MC's flaw is that he wants to live in a world he finds interesting without actually having to face the actual consequences or such; he jumps excitedly into a series he knows the mass majority of and tries to casually goes through the whole series thinking it was just that: the same series he saw from his own humble abode without any real danger or attachment. Only when he actively got attached to something, something that he not only had some attachment to prior but for reasons I will mention later, did he begin to see how real this situation was to him. What I find interesting is his progression from casual passing through the series to actually of wanting to help because it's no longer just RWBY the show, it is HIS world, HIS friends, and HIS life, it is all real now, and I like to think that was one of the major points of his speech to Pyrrha (which I loved, btw). Honestly, if you decided to not continue the series that is fine, I just want to say that I am a huge fan nonetheless though I do have a request: I would like to write a continuation or "revision" based on it but not without your say, and total credit would go to you. I don't want to sound par asocial, I just don't want this idea to die out.

@C14999 Yes I've seen the annoncement, guess my message sounds weird now. But hey, what can I do ?
This is great news for the series, although we have no idea when volume 10 will come out. I'll be there anyway ;)

Answer honestly,do you think that RWBY will continue? Never been much of a fan overall, but I've been feeding on RWBY fics for years now,and seeing it just stop is honestly kinda sad.

Haiko__

Well someone brought back the rights to it, and it was announced 9 month ago that they were in "early writing". My guess is that they have now a reduced team, reduced budget, etc. I don't know that Volume 10 will be released, but I still hold hope it will happen in the next few years.

I was a fan long ago, now I see the many flaws in it, but still remember how passionate I was about it. I understand your feelings on that.

Sorry for answering so late, I have not been active on this site for a long time.

Hey , if you don't want is fine ,But can You write a neutral path versión about your rwby story? IDK i just wanna se more of a y/n like this, i like what you write

Haiko__

Thank you. I do not plan to write anymore y/n story but the "Light Path" when the end of the show comes out (or if it doesn't, see my pinned post).
I have other ideas for stories but I am definitely not writing right now and cannot tell you when I'll feel like it again.

I have seen it and seing how things are going (meaning unless someone buys the rights to the story and continues it, since Rooster Teeth is now shut down), I will use it as a base to continue the story on my end.

However I cannot give you any date as of now.
