I just wrote Episode Two, Part 1 for TGFTG Season 2 and I want to cry for my girl so bad. I've never wanted to jump into a book and rescue a character more... Then I remember that I'm the one writing it, and I literally could just not put her through it....

'Izzy gazed at her reflection in the mirror, trying to find something within herself that she recognised. There wasn’t much these days.
The markings on her skin would heal in time, slowly resolving her complexion back to one that was familiar, but the cuts and gashes on her cheeks and the deeper ones tracing her hairline would stick around for a while, if they would go at all. It served as a constant reminder of what had happened...'

The Girl from the Ground - Season 1 is officially out in the world!

I did my version of a Folklore/Evermore drop and gave you the WHOLE book out of nowhere! ;) hehehe.

I'm super duper proud of this book and sooooo excited to introduce you to my new characters in The Boy from the Bunker universe (the children of their characters), and reintroduce you to Izzy and Harlow - who were prominent characters in TBFTB series!

Two new characters that I'm really excited for you to meet are Eden and Veer, and I think you'll absolutely love some of the conversations they have in this book.

Although it is a spin-off series to The Boy from the Bunker, it should be more or less okay to read it if you haven't read those books (but I do recommend it).

          This is my newest baby!!!

I said 'characters' too much in this post. It's giving me the ick.

And this special quote from my girl, Veer:

'Maybe some people are born with a story inside of them that means they have to leave somewhere, or say goodbye to someone. And maybe sometimes it's not their choice.'

And: 'The more chances we have to stand in front of our fears, the more courage creeps in.'

So here's one of my favourite lines between two of my favourite characters:

'I love you, as in you're the spine that holds my body upright, or the string around my soul that ties it all together, or the very first atom of me that ever existed and knew it had something to live for.'
