My parents: *forces me to go to church social event that I very much don’t want to go to*
          
          Me: *decides to wear my shirt that says “let’s get one thing straight, I’m not,” knowing damn well that my church is homophobic*
          
          My dad: *sees my shirt on our way to CVS* that shirt’s not the most appropriate shirt to wear to church
