Zee found him by the window again, bathed in the soft morning light. Net’s hair was a mess, his apron still on, a cup of tea cradled between his hands. He looked up when Zee entered, surprise flickering in his eyes.
          
          “You should rest,” Zee said quietly.
          
          “I’m fine,” Net murmured, a shy smile tugging at his lips. “Just… thinking.”
          
          Zee stepped closer, stopping only a breath away. “About what?”
          
          Net hesitated. “About how everything feels different lately. Lighter. Warmer.”
          
          Zee’s gaze softened, his voice low. “That’s because you’re here.”
          
          For a moment, neither of them moved — just the quiet hum of the morning, the unspoken words hanging heavy in the air. Then Olivia’s laughter echoed down the hall, breaking the spell, but not the feeling.
          
          And Zee realized — he didn’t just want Net in his house.
