It's all just darkness
                                     down here
          in my dreams
          
          a stillborn sun
          a bloodless moon
          
          my bones are blanched
          and buried in the
          earth's womb
          
          it's been four days
          and I've forgotten
                                how to breathe
          
          I'm worried my mouth
          might consume me

       we live in fear
                         of silence
          because it is filled
              with the echoes
               of all the things
                 we left unsaid

what created the stars
          also created you. do
          not even doubt that you 
          burn just as brightly.

She woke up 
          every morning
          with the option of
          being anyone she wished
          
          how beautiful it was
          that she always chose 
          herself.
