pt 2

“We have gotten word that private messages and perhaps an allegiance have been made between the Gray and one of the other kingdoms. We need to-” As the king’s voice blurred out, Mauve pressed her ears to the door straining to hear a sound.

“S-Sir, are you sure they were not communicating with us?” A stuttering voice replied in a hopeful voice.

“Now tell me…Julien… Would you think I would be so dimwitted to carry out these plans for so long if I had known? Would I have carried out this meeting if it was in our benefit?!” His words got angrier as he spoke. Even though he tried to be a calm ruler, a reasonable force, questioning his choices is something the King cannot tolerate.

The king vowed to be true to his kingdom, choosing blue as the color representing his kingdom.
The color represents freedom, intuition, imagination.
Blue also represents meanings of depth, trust, loyalty, sincerity, wisdom, confidence, stability and faith. And most importantly, intelligence.
Considering the inhabitants should hold these traits, this Julien, seemed to lack some of the “critical thinking” and intelligence part.

“We need to go again,” he declared.

Mauve was too involved in her thoughts, but she suddenly realized, this was the time.
Thinking of some encouragement to herself she got ready and very unlike her, she didn't have the time to think logically.
She jumped to her feet and pushed open the doors in all the dramatic and theatrical way that she could and muttered under her breath “phase one, the entrance, check.”

Start of a new story:
The room was silent and tension floated through the air as they awaited their order. It wasn't that uncommon for the king to call an emergency conference and summon people to his throne room but you never knew what to expect. As the advisors and the servants lined up in a neat row, no words were exchanged but an air of tension persisted to float around the room.

Heads bowed as the king stalked into the room and by the expression on his face, the news was not what was hoped for.

He cleared his throat and slowly sat himself into his throne “As you all know, I have summoned each and every one of you here for a reason, I have received word from our last project.”

It was known to all that this king was extremely tactical and clever, even with all that wistom can never stop questioning and doubting, overly paranoid, one might say.

Ever since the peace treaty between the kingdoms, everything has gone smoothly, each kingdom specialized in their own criteria and all lived in harmony and equilibrium.

The treaty was signed after the split of the kingdoms and would be rewritten every 50 years to keep up with the incoming flow of demand and evolution.

As the expiration date came increasingly close, the King got more anxious, keeping a closer eye on his fellow rulers.

Mauve squinted through the cracks of the floor-to ceiling door panels and waited for her moment.
