Hello everyone! It has been 4 years since I posted My Life and Other Sad Things. I logged in this week to see what had become of my beloved verse novel only to find it had the same amount of reads as when I had marked it as complete all those years ago. Now I appreciate every read it has gotten but it saddens me Wattpads inability to promote completed works in the algorithm. I have decided to republish it and have already gained new readers thankfully. There will be new drawings as well with some of the poems. I have also started a new poetry book What You Can't See, so check it out if you are interested. I hope everyone is well and I am looking forward to being active on Wattpad again.

@apollosvagabond If you read, vote, and comment meaningfully on my own work first, I will consider doing the same for your work.

Would you ever think of updating/continuing "We're Just Friends?" I really love the characters you've created and I'd love to see how their stories play out, if you're still writing it. Thank you!

Emmalise

I completely understand. Thank you for the response! Best of luck with your current and future writings. :)

@Emmalise I find this really refreshing! This made my day. I had no idea anyone was reading We're Just Friends and would have never guessed that someone actually wanted me to continue it. This really touches me and I'm so glad you liked it. As of right now, I don't plan on continuing it. Which makes me sad to say now that I know someone liked it enough to tell me on my other account. I wrote We're Just Friends for Nanowrimo three or four years ago. I guess I never finished it because I felt that I wasn't portraying Kassie's struggles well. The main plot of that book is that Kassie is raped by her step dad. That's obviously a very dark and heavy subject. It felt like a huge responsibility to write it correctly. I would never want to offend people who have been in simular situations. It began making me feel like I couldn't tell the story accurately. I would never want to write something that was inaccurately portrayed, if that makes sense. I want my writing to be helpful to people who are hurting, not to glorify bad behaviors and situations. That would be tragic for me.

Hey, I’ve been enjoying your poetry collection. I was wondering if you’d be interested in checking out my book club, BookshelfBookClub. It’s meant to be a unique book club where you can get points by reading any other member’s stories, but I need founding members to get it to work. Let me know if you’re interested! (If not, no worries)

Are any of you interested in me writing another poetry book? I'm debating on starting another one and naming it My Heart and Other Fragile Things. I haven't made a decision yet, so if you are interested in reading that, please let me know.

Hannah_Janine

@seekingsherlock Awesome! I just posted the first poem. It's called My Heart and Other Broken Things.
