The thing I love about Pokémon anime is that they don't showcase perfect characters, most of the main cast has some sort of flaw in them which they work over time on , this is such a good concept
Be it Ash’s impulsiveness, May’s stubbornness, Drew’s arrogance, I feel like this made the characters very human

I still think that Brendan would be a good edition . Every story is supposed to have a mr perfect anyway . Brendan is perfect . Besides if drew learnt May got such a great overachiever BFF ...then well ...that would be the best thing don't you think . Not to mention , Brendan being Brendan would add fuel to the fire enjoying everything way too much .

@Djhajh honestly my earlier version of story did include brendan actually, it was in the rewrite that i decided to remove him , for the above reasons , Drew is gonna meet Chaz , in the earlier version also I used brendan as Lisia’s love interest but than I learned about chaz from games , I love a good tsundre pairing so I felt he was more suited for the story line than Brendan , even if i add brendan he will have pretty much same role as Chaz , i just thought chaz fit better because of Pokémon’s tendency to avoid male player characters from game in anime

@SnehaJha0 I mean following cannon gets kinda bland. But still with wallace cup, it would be interesting. I mean if may knows Wallace she will definitely talk to him sometime if she ever doubts herself during the journey and all. And maybe you could introduce brendan birch in the story as well. I mean as per Games they are childhood best friends.

I realised Sinnoh DP episode is gonna start here right. Oh my god I love May's appearance in DP in wallace cup.
Hey can you know do something like... Uh.. Maybe make may meet wallace privately talking about her recent losses in johto and about lisia . In DP episode I don't remember the exact one but I am sure there was this scene where when ash told may that he met wallace himself.. She was shocked.. .. So since in your story she never met wallace is she gonna be shocked?
Maybe let her meet Paul too

@SnehaJha0 maybe interaction with Wallace after her loss will be a good idea. Because may was using her newly evolved pokemon so it was much harder to coordinate with glaceon because glaceon was evolved 3 days ago. But still after her loss... She should have a mini interaction with wallace is a good idea .

@SnehaJha0 Even though May already met Wallace in my story , she will still he shocked at Ash's information of meeting Wallace because well you don't meet a champion on a walk , There is actually another arc before May goes to sinnoh where she is preparing for sinnoh so stay tuned for that May will interact with Gary in sinnoh but about Paul ,I will see what I can do, As I said before I really don't know what I can do with May and early DP Paul they have no intersection whatsover

(Belated) Merry Christmas and (Advanced) Happy New Year guys! I hope this year has been fun for you guys and I hope that the new year brings a lot of joy and happiness to each of you.
If I was truly honest , I am glad 2025 is done this year was worst for me ,it just kept on degrading every month, I wasn’t at my best both physically and mentally but with a new year comes new hope, I pray that this year will be much better for each of us.
If you are someone like me who struggled a lot during this year , I hope to let you know you aren't alone, you are welcome to reach out to me in comments or in discord. I will also like to say that bad times come and go and even if you had a bad year it doesn't mean it won't improve, have faith, reach out to people you can trust and it will get better.
