The Alpha stepped closer to me, all hints of anger gone, and what remained was something I had never seen of him before.
“I am not asking you act like your past never existed. I want to know your past.”
Just inches away from me he stood. I looked up at him, swallowing back the cries that wanted to escape, feeling the cool tears trace my face as I shed them freely.
