You walk into a dark corridor. Cages line both walls, all of them filled with mutated experiments. It’s completely silent; all the creatures seem to be sleeping. In a cage far down corridor, you catch a glimpse of light. You run towards it, hoping it’s an exit. Instead, you see a rather large cage with a brown-haired boy sitting in it. He has brown eyes and from his back, two brilliant fiery orange wings protrude. Long, delicate tail feathers lay motionless on the ground behind him. His wings lay limply at his sides.

You speak up, softly “I’m (y/n). What is this place?”

“Laboratory 505. It’s the place you’ve never heard of where scientists conduct illegal experiments on live human-beings.” His voice is gravelly from not being used, he averts his eyes.

“That’s sick! I can help you! And the others here! How do I unlock this cage?” you frantically play with the lock, trying to crack the code.

“You can’t help us. But I can help you. Run, before they find you.” He shoos you off. You look down, feeling tears welling in your eyes for this boy and the other people here. You blink, frown, and run, not looking back to see the phoenix boy smiling softly.
