Originally from the north of England, I travelled to London some years ago only to discover the streets not paved with gold, but instead with fried chicken boxes, tears and free newspaper articles about house prices. But I’m still here because it has good facilities and presents excellent opportuinties to shout obscenities at tourists who don’t understand the transport system (or English obscenities).
I’ve been writing on and off for many years – screenplays, short stage plays, articles – all of them consigned to a folder on my desktop marked ‘Reasons to be ashamed’.
The Equalizer – Opening Moves is my first real attempt at novel/novella writing and is based on the popular mid-late 1980s TV show starring Edward Woodward. It was written in around three weeks in short chunks, mainly when I should have been doing the job that my employer so handsomely pays me to do (but if he will sit me in a corner where no-one can see my screen, it’s ultimately his own fault.)
I am keen to collaborate with other writers and those in other areas such as film, theatre, photography and avant garde Latvian performance art.
