@Darkwatersarelovely First, thanks for reading my work! I'm beyond glad that you like my stories. To answer your question, no, I haven't dropped Valeria and crew. I took a few years off from my novels to pursue comic creating. I was really getting bogged down with the full scope of the world that I had/was/am creating for not just Val, but all the other supernatural creatures around her. I couldn't write without second guessing and questioning every line. I had to step away for a bit. And I've read and collected comics since I was about 8 years old, so the transition to comic creator was perfect for me.
With that said, I am back to my DarkWorld. I am restructuring the way that I'm going to release the novels because I have stories to tell from not only Val and the vampire's point of view, but werewolves, witches, YA vampires, and YA fae...and that may grow, still. The initial plan was for each group to have their own series, but that is WAAAAAY too much. I dug myself into a writing corner. So, I'm borrowing a page from Kelley Armstrong and her Women of Otherworld series. The series jumps from one magical race to another, while all connected and contained in the same world. Instead of 5-6 different series, there will only be two. DarkWorld (adult) and Freaks (YA). I plan on doing a Val and Ire story every other year, with a story focusing on another species the other years.
So this year's novel will be Ascension: Wolves of Goose Creek, which will introduce readers to Still Waters, Marcus's (Val's former commanding officer) goddaughter.
I do plan on doing a short story about Val and Ire during the year that I don't release a novel about them.
Again, thanks so much for reading my stories, and thanks for contacting me. More stories are definitely on the way.
