I wrote the beginning of my first story on Christmas morning when I was five years old and I've been writing pretty non-stop ever since. I wrote very childish romantic adventure stories to start off with which I'm now embarrassed to look at but it all taught me something. 
I love Dorothy L. Sayers and Caroline Lawrence and even some of Agatha Christie which is probably why I started writing mysteries. History is also one of my passions hence the setting of my stories. They're maybe a little too modern for my taste, bring on the corsets and crinolines but the 20s seem a wonderful time and as the golden age of crime fiction and my favourite type of films seem to be a sensible option.
