Thank you all for bringing Strokes of Passion to #1 in censorship. It is a very small category but I am very, very grateful that this aspect of this poetry book caught your interest. God bless & have a nice day! :) https://www.wattpad.com/story/153124961-strokes-of-passion

Thank you all for putting 3 of my stories in the top 10 of the #fastread stories category. They wouldn't get there without your support. So thank you very much. Please check them out if you haven't already. *bows* #2 The Night That Began Forever #4 Red Horizons Hotel - Room 675 #6 Strokes of Passion

Happy Chap Goh Mei & Lin Siew to all my Chinese friends. Hope you singles out there find the love of your dreams. ♡

Hi everyone, just wondering how many of you are Asian or who are familiar with the QingMing/Tomb-sweeping day festival and Chap Goh Mei? They're both right around the corner. If you do, do you have any fond memories of those festivals to share? If you don't, would you like to learn more about them?
HauntingAngel
Thank you for sharing too. Oh, I've never heard of Qixi.
Yes, the HGF stuff can feel quite eerie sometimes. I heard that in Singapore, they have pole dancers for that. Yes, there is some variety in Chinese traditions around the world but same in essence.
My mum is Cantonese so who knows, we might have some common ancestor somewhere way way up in the family tree. LOL.

@AmbergrisJane Cool! Cantonese dad. Sounds like a lot's happening there. I didn't know there was lantern festival. Lantern festival here is synonymous with Mid-Autumn Festival/Mooncake Festival here. Tong Yun is served at weddings and Winter Solstice. Yes, QingMing is April 5th this year. It's when my Chinese relatives go visit our deceased family's graves and have a little memorials service. Some people offer food to the deceased and some burn paper houses, servants, paper cars, and loads of paper money for the deceased. They also do this during Hungry Ghost Festival but during HGF, it's more to satisfy the souls who have been released from hell. So most just do it on their porches. As for Chap Goh Mei, it's on the 15th (last) day of CNY and is the Chinese version of Valentine's Day. The whole throw an orange into the river and hope some guy scoops it up and calls you. I'm not entirely sure if the traditions are the same everywhere which was why I asked.

Ah, the sguigly line logo. What genious! It's so simple! :P
HauntingAngel
@most_bay It's okay, mate. I didn't mean it in a bad tone. Lol. I don't know what to make of the logo yet. I'm suspending judgment on it because I think it's not fair to judge without knowing why Wattpad did it. Hope they said sth about it online somewhere. ;)

@HauntingAngel wow! You read too much into my words. Nobody said you lied! I just don't like the logo. And many people don't. It is too simple and commonplace. The old one stood out in my opinion. I hope you're doing well, my friend. Have a great day. :))

@most_bay No matter what I think or anyone thinks of it, I didn't lie. The new logo, if anything is the simplest it's ever been. If simplicity was what they were after, that certainly does it. I'm not sure what they're trying to pull with changing the logo. Maybe trying to fit in better with the trends of clearer and the less stylistic logos of today. Easier rendering, perhaps? I don't know but it is much much simpler.

Happy Chinese New Year, folks! May the year of the pig bring you prosperity, good fortune, and a year of satisfied bellies. Glad to be back in my hill-valley home. :)
